Google announced the Google Skills Arcade 2026 prize tiers on 10 June 2026. If you are collecting points this year, these are the numbers to plan around.
The four tiers
| Tier | Arcade points | Prize spots |
|---|---|---|
| Trooper | 50 to 74 | 6,000 |
| Ranger | 75 to 94 | 4,000 |
| Champion | 95 to 119 | 3,000 |
| Legend | 120 or more | 2,500 |
What is different this year
- The Novice tier is gone. Google says the season lasts a full year, so the rewards now focus on the four tiers above.
- Each tier has a limit. For the first time, only a set number of players can receive prizes in each tier. Google says the limits are well above the number of prizes claimed last year.
How the waterfall works
The Prize Counter works on a first come, first served basis, starting at the Legend tier. Suppose you have 120 or more points but the 2,500 Legend spots are already taken. Your points then move you to the front of the line for Champion prizes. If Champion is full, you roll down to Ranger, and then to Trooper.
The practical lesson is simple: the earlier you lock in your points, the higher up the waterfall you stay.
When do the prizes arrive?
The Prize Counter is due to open shortly after the 2026 season ends at the end of the year. Google also said in April that all the Arcade points you have earned during 2026 are safe and will count when the counter opens.
Where the points come from
- Arcade games: one point each. Since April 2026 every game is worth the same.
- Skill badges: half a point each, so two badges make one point.
- Facilitator program: bonus points from milestones. The 2026 program ran from 13 July to 14 September.
